The skate park at Sergeant JR Hatch Park is a classic flat ground skate park that is great for beginner and experienced skaters. There are lots of rails and ramps in the park to practice your tricks. In addition to its skate park, the small Harris County park offers a set of lit sand volleyball courts. The courts are all equipped with permanent nets and rope boundary lines, making them ideal for beginners as well as seasoned players. The park also features an outdoor shower tap, BBQ pits, picnic tables and benches, as well as a gazebo. There are even cinder-block restrooms on site with running water. The park also has a gravel path that makes it easy to move around.
This small, but very popular park is nestled in the parking lot of the Harris County Annex 13 / Constable Precinct facility and easily blends in with its surroundings. The parking lot is lined with cops and county vehicles, but the parks facilities are open to the public.
